Very great tutorial. On the same day I have learned cakePHP and Yii but as much as both are developed RAD frameworks with respect to MVC. I can vote Yii with 4.7 and cakePHP with 4.1. Very informative your video is. Thank you

You're wrong. This is the first step and the MVC is explained very well. I don't see any problem especially for beginners of both MVC and Yet it is Framework.

Great explanations.

I am NOT new to MVC but I am new to Yii. Have already built a few sites using MVC architecture. This video was worth watching :)

WARNING: This tutorial is incomplete and NOT worth watching. The protected directory in placed inside the webroot (wtf) and the mySQL file is not provided. If you really want a fast webapplication use NGINX + YII instead of Apache + Yii.

Si marca error a la hora de ejecutar el script en MYSQL 5.5, solo hay que ejecutar el script por partes, primero una tabla y sus datos, y así sucesivamente, ya que por alguna razón al ejecutarlo todo, marca error, saludos

The sql file will return errors when pasted into mySQL version 5.5.16. Do you have an updated sql file for the latest version? Or is there a work-around?

Very nice tutorial btw. You explain things exceptionally well! Just wish I could follow along.

I know this tutorial is a few months old but I just wanted to say for those of you who are new to php & or YII, this series of tutorials is NOT for you. To many assumptions are made and the instructor does not explain the reasons WHY they are doing what they are doing which is critical for those who may be new to programming with YII.

I appreciate what the author is trying to do, I just feel they should slow the pace down somewhat so beginners can follow along without getting confused.
